What is my connection speed?
Your connection speed is determined by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your connection speed may also be affected by a slow wireless connection, other programs you have open that are accessing the internet, or overall peak internet usage.
What are the High 768, Medium 512, and Low 300 buttons for?
These buttons allow you to select the video quality based on your internet connection speed. To avoid buffering (pausing), select a data rate lower than your connection speed.
Low - approx 300 kbps and is suitable for a 256k (download) DSL or cable modem connection.
Medium - approx 512 kbps and is suitable for a 512k (download) DSL or cable modem connection.
High - approx 768 kbps and is suitable for 1500k+ (download) DSL or cable modem connection.
PLEASE NOTE - Often selecting a lower speed will improve performance without any obvious loss of quality.
Why is the video pausing (buffering)?
Buffering can occur for the following reasons:
- The connection speed you chose (HIGH [768], MEDIUM [512], or LOW [300]) is faster than your actual internet connection
- You have other programs accessing the internet
- Your connection is being slowed during a peak internet usage time
From the video simply...
- press ESC if you are viewing in full screen.
- close any other programs accessing the internet.
- select a lower connection speed.
- continue watching.
- if pausing still occurs, pause the video and allow 1-2 minutes for the video to buffer before resuming play.
Why doesn’t the video play at all?
Please check to ensure you have the latest version of the Flash player installed (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer). If this does not resolve the issue, please go to the technical support page for more information.
Do the video files get stored on my computer?
The video files do NOT get stored on your computer. They are progressively downloaded (streamed) to your computer and automatically discarded after viewing.
Why can’t I hear anything?
